The two main lines must alternate between pressurization and depressurization
A dual-line system uses two main lines that operate alternately. When one line is pressurized to actuate the metering pistons, the other serves as the return/relief line for that cycle; the two lines then exchange functions. This principle is suitable for large lubrication networks, long pipelines or points with high back pressure.
If the line-changeover or pressure-relief mechanism does not operate correctly, the metering device may not complete its next cycle. The metering device must therefore be considered part of a complete system comprising the pump, changeover valve, main lines and monitoring equipment.
Select by outlet count and metered quantity, not block size alone
VSG and ZV-B can have multiple outlets and support different delivered quantities. Some configurations have piston indicators or sensors for monitoring operation. When selecting a designation, determine the number of points, quantity delivered to each point, system pressure, oil/grease type and monitoring requirements.
Bijur Delimon’s ZV-B is designed for oil or grease, can have up to 8 outlets and offers a choice of metered volumes. Jianhe’s VSG also supports up to 8 outlets and monitoring options using an indicator or sensor.
System expansion requires rechecking pump and piping capacity
A dual-line system is convenient to expand with additional points, but adding metering devices increases total lubricant demand and pressure loss. When expanding the system, recheck the pump, pipe dimensions, cycle time and pressure at the most distant point.
