By reducing chain wear, the SKF OCL-M automatic chain lubrication system minimizes downtime. Compared with manual chain lubrication, the continuously pumping SKF OCL-M automatic chain lubrication system can increase reliability and service life by up to five times. The heart of the system is a highly configurable pump.
Every machine is different, with varying numbers and sizes of chains. Machine requirements vary by application; fast-moving chains need more lubrication than slow-moving chains. Heavy dust or dry grass requires greater cleaning force from the lubrication brush. The pump can meet most chain application requirements.
The SKF OCL-M automatic chain lubrication system is mounted directly on the machine shaft and delivers a precise amount of oil to the moving chain while the machine operates. Two gear ratios (1: 6,75 and 1:27) can be selected to drive the pump. The pump operates reliably and independently of the drive-shaft rotation through its reversible worm gear.
Three different pump sections with four lubricant outlets are available, each providing a different maximum lubricant dosage range. Up to five pump sections can be combined. The output of each pump section can also be adjusted easily by moving an adjustment disc. The initial setting remains visible for later monitoring. Self-lubricating pump sections and pressure pistons help reduce wear and extend service life. The pump can also run at higher shaft speeds.
These features allow the system to be adapted to application requirements, whether lubricating larger machinery or working in more demanding conditions.
