A new grease gun in the SKF range

A new grease gun in the SKF range allows users to switch between high-volume and high-pressure requirements using a thumb-operated switch.

The SKF Lincoln two-piston lever grease gun (Model 1154) allows technicians to quickly adjust the tool to suit the equipment’s lubrication requirements. The grease gun is suitable for farmers and construction workers who need reliable, durable tools in harsh working environments. It is also suitable for settings such as vehicle repair garages.

“Lubrication work is easy with the 1154’s unique, versatile design,” said Keith Rohan, product manager at SKF. “It handles a wide range of applications and speeds up the work.”

For high-volume jobs, the SKF Lincoln gun requires three times fewer strokes than a standard grease gun. Large fittings, bushings and bearings can be filled quickly and, Rohan said, the gun is well suited to large surface areas such as fifth wheels, chains and conveyors.

When high pressure is required, such as when a fitting is blocked, the 1154 is designed to open the fitting without requiring the operator to apply excessive force. In the pressure setting, the gun has a standard grease output of 34 strokes/oz and develops 10,000 psi for high-pressure requirements such as track adjusters, blocked fittings and high-tolerance locations.
